Our commitment
Ascertum is a Genève-based atelier of bespoke heraldic regalia. All correspondence and commissions are treated in the strictest confidence. This policy describes which personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the safeguards we apply.
Data we collect through the Contact form
When you submit an enquiry via our Contact form, we ask you to provide the following information:
- Institution · the name of your club, society, or organisation.
- Your name & title · so that we may address you appropriately.
- Email address · to reply to your enquiry.
- Nature of commission · the type of enquiry you are making.
- Message · any further detail you choose to share.
We also record the date and time of your submission. We do not ask for, and do not require, sensitive personal data.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry, normally within 48 hours, through private correspondence with our Genève office.
- To discuss, scope, and — where mutually agreed — formalise a commission.
- To maintain a confidential record of the correspondence between Ascertum and the institution concerned.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given by ticking the consent box at the foot of the Contact form, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to the atelier.
Confidentiality & third parties
Ascertum does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Correspondence is handled personally by our Genève office. Limited disclosure may occur only where strictly necessary for the fulfilment of a commission (for example, our workshops in Britain and Italy) or where required by Swiss law.
Retention
Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as is necessary to answer your enquiry and, where a commission is undertaken, for the duration of the commission and a reasonable period thereafter for archival and accounting purposes. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw your consent to further processing. To exercise any of these rights, please write to our Genève office at the address below.
